We got a call from Fulwel73 Productions in London, who specialise film and TV productions. They had a top secret project that needed to be quickly arranged at Shaw Studios Hong Kong, something to be aired on MTV, for Coke Mexico and Sony Mexico. The big secret? The band One Direction were flying in and a music video shoot needed to be organised.
Our brief was to create the setting for the band to perform and for the all the interviews. There were to be a lot of different crews involved and lots of cameras, dollies, cranes going in, so the set needed to be big, and accommodating, as well as visually stunning. We installed a large curved truss system, created huge velvet and metallic curtains for the backdrop, arrange 500 coke crates to be delivered and stacked up on set, designed and coordinated all the AV, brought in furniture, styled the interview area, and branded the concrete flooring. It was a fast paced project and was a lot of fun.
